What It Is:

Last week made history. It was not because of the nomination of Judge Sotomayor (thats pronounced So - Toe - My - Oar). Rather it was latenight TV personality Conan O'Brien replacing 17 year veteran Jay Leno. Historic I know.

Anyway I was excited that Conan would have a chance. I really did like his presentation, monologue, and very basically how he interacted with his guests. So naturally I was stoked. My buddies and I bought pizza, brought it home, ate the pizza, then finally turned on the local NBC station anxiously awaiting his debut. And did it come.
The first five minutes were dedicated to a distraught Conan realizing he had to move from New York to Los Angeles and his cross country sprint to his new destination. A great start and I envisioned a new god of Late Night. However, the monologue was not what I expected. A summary of this monologue; "Hello, Thank You, No really thank you, Thank you, Great show tonight everybody". Now granted it was his first night, but you would think he would interact with his audience rather than just his "hillarious" announcer Andy Richter. And this trend continued and continued and continued. Making it even worse was Jimmy Fallon's poor attempt to be funny on Conan's old show. His comedy and actics are just juevenile making it brutal to watch and never entertaining. Where is the relief?
The Truth:
Craig Ferguson is the King of Late Night television. Unlike the "peacocks" on the "Peacock station", Ferguson is a true host of a show. Not only is his material original; its really funny. His monologues are not just ramblings of horrible puns and jokes but audience - engaging comedy. The jokes flow and set the tone for an awesome program. His interaction with the audience, engaging conversations with the guests, and overall genius puts Conan to shame and makes Fallon a laugh.
Yep a picture says a thousand words. Sorry Conan your prime is gone and when the great David Letterman retires and Craig takes over the Late Show, I think your picture will resemble that of Whiner Fallon and you will all hail to the King of Late Night TV, Craig Ferguson.

I am Henri and That's the Truth
